Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention

The Families of Tradition program is based on neuroscience and connections to the historical trauma Aboriginal people have experienced. The goal of the program is to teach families the effects of trauma that is caused not only by domestic violence, but also from past trauma the parents may have experienced (childhood abuse, inter-generational trauma). The program also teaches parents how to take steps toward healing and have a healthy family.
